We are looking forward to winding down this semester with a Christmas Party! Here is our class sign up, Please let me know if you can't do what you signed up for!

Reading- This week we are reading One Small Place In A Tree. We are working on Author's purpose and text features this week. Math- This week we are working on starting our Measurement Unit. We will be working on Elapsed Time first. Have your child help to figure out how much time has passed as well as if so many minutes went by, what time is it now! Spelling- Your child should have their words in their agenda. ****Early Out on Wednesday! Also, just so you know I will be gone the remainder of this week. We are moving and so I took a few days off to get that process going! Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. Today I am sending home our Holiday Book Order. This will be our last book order before Christmas! We are really close to our class receiving a bunch of bonus points :)
**If you would like to order a book for your child for Christmas, just send me an email or give me a call and I would be happy to help out! Books make great presents too!!! There was a delay in us getting Book-It's this year, but they have officially arrived. I did give every student one for the month of October. From now on, the way that your child can get a Book-It each month strictly depends on how many times that they read. It is a school expectation that your child reads 20 minutes 4 times a week. There is a spot on the daily agenda that is called Reading Log, which would be a great spot for you to mark if your child has read. I ask that you record your initials and how many minutes your child reads on each day of the month on the correct calendar page. If you would like to include the Title of the book that would be great, but not required. If at the end of the month they read their 80 minutes a week, they will receive a Book-It for that month.
